I've been a bit too busy in the day job recentely to carry on updating the website, and it will remain that way for the next 2 or 3 weeks I'm afraid, due to work commitments (shame, as I've got loads more content to get up here).
I had one enquiry from a visitor, who obviously found a link to my old website, which had an article I wrote on "How to shoot Formula One photography".
I know this was a popular page on the old website, and I fully intend to re-publish it up here as soon as possible.

I see a story on the BBC web site about an increase in police challenging photographers more, due to worries about terrorism etc - There apparently is a petition started asking the Prime Minister to clarify the law on this.
It looks like the evidence points to the simple fact that if you are using a mobile phone or pocket camera, you won't attract any attentions, whereas if you are using a "pro looking" camera, you could have your actions queried....unbelieveable...

Adobe has released Camera Raw 4.4.1 and Lightroom 1.4.1, having corrected the faults with the previously withdrawn updates. The revised updates, as well as fixing a selection of bugs, bring support for the latest DSLRs from Canon, Sony, Pentax and Nikon, along with the FujiFilm S100fs and Olympus SP-570 UZ.
Apologies for the lack of web site updates over the past week - I've been down with a nasty cold, and just did'nt have the energy to work on the site.
I see there is a really nice interview with Jackie Stewart on the ITV F1 web site, where he talks about his relationship with Jim Clark, and shares some of his favourite memories. You can read it here.
I met Jackie Stewart (for the second time) a few months ago, when he was doing a signing session for his recent biography in Edinburgh. The first time I met him was when he unveiled a statue of Jim Clark in his birthplace of Kilmany in Fife, in 1998. I took some photos that lovely sunny day, not the greatest photos it has to be said as it was a crappy "pre digital" pocket camera I was using, but I thought ...

Microsoft boss Bill Gates has dropped a hint about the next version of Windows.
He said Windows 7 could be released "sometime in the next year or so" during a Q&A session at a meeting of the Inter-American Development Bank.
This must end up hitting sales of Vista, just when everyone was thinking "well, its been a year or so, and the first service pack is out...maybe I'll upgrade"
Then you hear there will be a new operating system in a year or so - why bother with Vista now?!
